Produced at TRUMPF’s Connecticut Smart Factory, the redesigned TruBend 3000 press brake series is a fast, precision bending machine that is easy to program. Borrowing from technologies featured in the TruBend 5000 Series, the redesigned 3000 series press brakes process jobs about 40 percent faster than their predecessors. Another speedy aspect of the series is that users can upload 2-D or 3-D models of their parts into the system’s software, and the machine’s monitor pulls up the matching bend sequence and tooling in about 1 sec.
The TruBend 3000 Series offers press forces ranging from 93 tons to 253.5 tons. With bending lengths from 6.5 ft. to 13 ft., the series is considered an all-around solution. Capable of processing around 85 percent of all parts in sheet metal production, TRUMPF has positioned this series as a solution for companies that struggle with increasing cost and time pressures while maintaining part quality. A new cost-saving component is the on-demand servo-drive – the machine’s motor is only activated during the bending process, conserving energy use.
TruBend 3000 Advantages:
- An ACB Laser automatic angle measuring system ensures precision
- TecZone Bend offline programming software keeps parts moving by letting operators build the next program while the machine is still running the current job
- Appropriate tools are displayed on the monitor for operator ease of use
- Collision monitoring reduces downtime
- TRUMPF offers on-site support, but customers also benefit from a service app, which includes condition monitoring and remote support
- BendGuard keeps watch over the work area with a combination of cameras and matrix sensors, cutting power when a worker enters the danger zone
- The bending aid can handle loads up to 150 kg
