The Laser Next Core 2131 from Prima Power offers 3-D laser cutting that combines cost efficiency, versatility and a compact design. The machine, the newest in the Next Core line, accommodates fabricators with frequent production changeovers, but also those with typical work batches of fewer than 1,000 parts where quick setup and changeover are important. The machine’s maintenance-free linear drives and direct motors allow for high dynamic performance and reliability.
The 2131 is billed as delivering industry benchmarks up to 25 percent below market costs per part due to optimized fixed and running costs (lower gas and power consumption) as well as reduced labor intervention. The machine provides a working volume of 58 percent larger than others in its class while occupying a footprint that is 25 percent smaller, which is ideal for shops that have limited floor space but also need a flexible cutting solution.
Laser Next Core 2131 Advantages:
- Accommodates a range of workpiece dimensions with approximately 124.4 in. by 82.7 in. by 29.5 in. of axis travel
- Quick processing is made possible thanks to axis speeds of 90 m/min. on the X, Y and Z axes with a trajectory speed of 155.9 m/min.
- Ease of operation comes from one-click CAM programming, a graphical teach panel and a bevy of intuitive controls
- To maintain the utmost in precision processing, built-in cutting-head axes automatically adjust for laser nozzle misalignments
- Dual-position, height-adjustable tables deliver ergonomic and flexible part handling
- For welding needs, an optional laser welding head expands processing capabilities for lap and butt joints
- To keep input costs down, safe-cutting nozzles reduce nitrogen consumption by up to 30 percent
- The modular platform manages 3-D laser cutting, part handling, loading and unloading as well as quality checks
