According to the official post-show data from the Association for Manufacturing Technology, IMTS 2026 attracted more than 90,000 registrants. These interested parties included 4 as well as students and registrants with representation from all 50 U.S. states; Washington, D.C.; Puerto Rico; and 123 countries from around the world.

Based on years past, IMTS’s robust attendance was on par with the show’s long-running reputation as the largest manufacturing technology trade show in the Western Hemisphere. This year, attendees flocked to Chicago to see the 1,788 exhibiting companies that were spread across more than 1 million sq. ft. of exhibition space. Exhibitors included equipment manufacturers in nearly every metals manufacturing specialty, such as metal removal and CNC machining, automation and robotics, fabricating and lasers, additive manufacturing, abrasive machining and finishing, and, of course, sawing.

For the thousands of students that registered to attend IMTS 2026, the Smartforce Student Summit didn’t fail to impress. According to show organizers, the dedicated space was “designed to positively influence the next generation of the manufacturing workforce by introducing students to the technologies, careers and people shaping the industry’s future.”

With something for literally everyone, IMTS positively set the stage for manufacturing in 2027. For those unable to attend, Techgen Media compiled a collection of photos and products that specifically represent the wide range of sawing technologies on display.

AMADA Machinery America Inc.
AMADA Machinery America introduced the VCSAW 160, an ultra-high-speed vertical bandsaw designed for increased productivity and throughput in manufacturing environments. It delivers cutting speeds up to 708 cm3 per min. using a saw blade speed of up to 300 m per min., combined with servo-driven cutting and material feed. The machine features an insert mechanism, high tension force, a blade deviation detector and a back-off function to ensure stable, precise operation. For material savings, the saw reduces cutting allowance from 2.7 mm to 2.1 mm, lowering raw material consumption and production costs. Additionally, it offers energy-efficient operation with oil mist cutting technology, reduced cutting resistance and overall power consumption.

Behringer Saws
Behringer Saws launched the HBE321A Dynamic, an automatic bandsaw for economical and precise cutting in the steel trade and manufacturing. It features a servo downfeed system with a ball screw and servo motor, increasing cutting speed and blade life. Cast iron band guiding parts reduce vibration, and a precision portal-design guide system ensures stable, low-vibration operation. The machine offers energy-efficient performance with 30 percent lower consumption than its predecessor, an automatic guide arm for consistent cuts and a double clamping vice for reliable material handling. The saw cuts profiles, tubes and solid materials with low deviations and easy touch-control operation.

Cosen Saws

Cosen Saws launched the C36, a fully enclosed dual-column automatic bandsaw designed for high-precision, high-efficiency mass production cutting. The C36 features a 7.5-hp motor, 41-mm-wide blade and dual servo-control system that independently manages saw bow feed and shuttle vise movement to enhance cutting accuracy and efficiency. The machine includes a 10-in. full-color touchscreen control panel and a mechanical quick-approach bar for safer blade operation. The Smart NC+ intelligent control system stores up to 100 cutting jobs and allows for multiple material feeds and kerf compensation.

DoAll Sawing Products
DoAll Sawing Products released the StructurAll TF-2028M vertical tilt-frame bandsaw designed to deliver higher productivity, longer blade life and improved operator safety for structural cutting applications. It offers up to 20-in.-wide-by-28-in.-high rectangular and 20-in. round tube cutting capacity. The operator control console is located on the right side of the machine, providing convenient access without interfering with machine operations. The PLC interface allows operators to easily switch between manual operation and AI-driven cutting modes to save blade life. The touchscreen continuously monitors and displays key operating parameters including band speed, head feed rate and head position. Standard features include 60-degree left and right cutting capability, high-torque variable-frequency saw band drive, full stroke hydraulic clamping cylinders, auto/manual hydraulic-positioned saw guide post, laser line for material positioning, hydraulic locking alloy steel 1 1/4 -in. saw guide blocks, flood coolant and mist band lubrication system.

HE&M Saw
HE&M Saw highlighted the 450 Auto, an automatic horizontal single-miter bandsaw designed for precise cutting. It features a cutting capacity of 18 in. by 10 in. at 90 degrees and 13 in. round. It is driven by a 6.5-hp motor with a variable-speed range of 49 to 328 surface ft. per min. and a bar feed system that supports 0-in. to 21.6-in. multiple index strokes. The machine is equipped with a patented hydraulic system controlling feed rate, cutting pressure and vise pressure, alongside a swing-away control console with a 7-in. touchscreen ready for integration with Industry 4.0 software. Standard features include a one-way 60-degree miter, rugged 3/16-in. steel base, heavy-duty sealed pivot bearings, hydraulic adjustable vertical top clamps, powered blade brush and flood coolant system with washdown hose.

Hydmech
Hydmech debuted the S-20P next-generation semi-automatic horizontal pivot mitering bandsaw designed for production shops requiring faster cycle times and precise angle cutting. The saw features a 7-in. HMI touchscreen for quick miter angle settings and blade speed control, reducing setup errors and training time. It includes a hydraulic vise clamping system with adjustable pressure from 50 psi to 400 psi and hydraulic-powered head lift that automatically returns after each cut, minimizing operator fatigue. The Eco-Smart mist lubrication system uses up to 90 percent less coolant, keeping the work area clean. The S-20P is designed for industries working with bar stock and tubing.

JLH Saws International
JLH Saws International introduced the H-8070PRO, a heavy-duty automatic horizontal bandsaw designed for high-speed, high-precision cutting of structural, stainless and tool steel. It features a robust servo-driven system and 11-kW saw motor. A rigid construction with hydraulic blade guide clamping reduces vibration and extends blade life, while features like saw bow anti-collision detection and a deviation detector ensure stable, safe operation. The machine offers versatile processing with variable cutting speeds from 20 m to 80 m per min., an automatic chip conveyor and an HMI touch-control interface.

Lenox
Lenox introduced Aerowolf Armor VP carbide cutting blades, engineered to enhance productivity across transportation, energy and steel manufacturing industries. The blades feature AITiN coatings that protect teeth from heat build-up, enabling faster cutting speeds, while the Armor coating increases surface hardness and toughness to slow tooth wear and extend blade life. The advanced tooth design cuts a wide range of materials including nickel, carbon steel, stainless steel and titanium. The multi-chip tooth pattern balances chip load and reduces cutting forces, resulting in longer tool life and superior part finishes. These blades accommodate rounds, rectangles, bundles and thick-walled tubes.
