U.S. Engineering Metalworks celebrated the expansion of a new 110,000-sq.-ft. production facility at Lawrence VenturePark, Kan. The $25 million investment expects to add about 30 jobs in the first year and 20 more within three years. The Lawrence operation fabricates piping, plumbing and sheet metal for data centers, health care campuses and research facilities. “This expansion allows us to grow our capabilities, create more opportunities for skilled tradespeople and strengthen the supply chain for some of the nation’s largest and most complex building systems,” said Kevin Sears, president, U.S. Engineering Metalworks.
