Hobart Brothers updated its filler metal safety data sheet (SDS) documents and made them accessible on each product page on the company website. The updates comply with the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, 29 CFR § 1910.1200, which requires manufacturers to classify chemical hazards and communicate them through SDS documents and labels. The updated SDSs follow a 16-section format and provide information on chemical composition, hazards, handling, storage, exposure controls and emergency response. “We encourage all customers to review the applicable SDS prior to handling or using any Hobart product,” said Satya Kondapalli, principal technologies and SDS team member, Hobart Brothers.
