Kuka deploys automation management platform in Toledo facility

Kuka deployed its Automation Management Platform (AMP) at the Kuka Toledo Production Operations (KTPO) facility in Ohio, a major automotive manufacturing site. The platform integrates existing automation systems with AI-powered technologies to enhance production operations. KTPO, a 335,000-sq.-ft. facility producing more than 300 vehicle bodies daily, generates extensive production data used by AMP to improve operational flexibility and productivity. Since 2006, KTPO has manufactured the body-in-white for every Jeep Wrangler sold worldwide. “Traditional automation is expanding and transforming, and the future lies in the combination of precision and reliability of proven industrial automation with the capabilities of AI-powered systems,” said Marc Fleischmann, chief software and AI officer, Kuka Group.
