TRUMPF’s TruLaser Tube 7000 is a fiber laser built to handle everything from large profiles for agricultural machines down to the delicate tubes of office furniture. TRUMPF has built this unit to match the high speeds of solid-state lasers, but also to have a broad range of processing capabilities. Executing high-quality of bevel cuts up to 45 degrees, the TruLaser Tube 7000 can handle profiles with diameters up to 10 in. with material thicknesses up to 0.625 in.

The TruLaser Tube 7000 includes a 4-kW TruDisk 4001 or a 6-kW TruDisk 6001, both of which are high-power disk lasers made by TRUMPF. There is also a technology package for tapping, which uses a NC-controlled spindle for twist drilling, thread cutting, flow drilling and tapping directly on the machine. These processes help to avoid secondary operations. A spatter protection device helps to avoid the buildup of spatter inside the tubes, which also prevents the need for reworking.

TruLaser Advantages:

  • With 4-kW or 6-kW TruDisk technology, the TruLaser Tube 7000 processes tubes and profiles faster than CO2.
  • A faster piercing process made possible by PierceLine technology, which is transferred from sheet to tube processing, gives users higher throughput.
  • RapidCut increases productivity in some part geometries by up to 30 percent.
  • The beam guard allows for safe and unrestricted operator access to loading and unloading.
  • Users can fully automate their operations with LoadMaster Tube with tube magazines holding up to 11,000 lbs. (21 ft. loading length) or 15,400 lbs. (30 ft. loading length) of raw material.
  • Flexible automation solutions allow users to cost-effectively manufacture small batch sizes.
  • Sensors test whether the machine has discharged while finished parts are being unloaded.
  • Operators can use the swivel-mounted conveyor system for small-scale series and special profiles.
