Weiler Abrasives released the Tiger Mill Scale wheel, a new abrasive designed for fast, efficient removal of millscale from hot-rolled carbon steel. The wheel provides a solution for industries such as shipbuilding, pressure vessel manufacturing and metal fabrication where heavy millscale removal is critical for weld preparation. The wheel features a circular studded design to cut through thick scale while
preventing loading or glazing. The Type 29 curved shape expands the contact area of the wheel to boost material removal rates and deter gouging. The wheel is offered with a 5/8-11 quick-connect hub in 4 1/2-in., 5-in. and 6-in. diameters.
