Universal Robots delivers revenue increase in 2017

Increased demand for its affordable, cage-free, user-friendly collaborative robot (cobot) arms propelled Universal Robots to revenue of $170 million in 2017, a 72 percent increase over 2016. Universal Robots’ annual result, which surpassed the 2017 goal set in 2013, was due to the company’s impressive fourth quarter returns of $54 million, which is a 61 percent improvement from the same period a year ago and the best quarter ever at UR. The operating profit more than doubled from 9 percent in 2016 to 19 percent in 2017.
