TRUMPF Inc. is partnering with Cutlite Penta S.p.A. TRUMPF will acquire the Italian manufacturer of 2-D laser machines to broaden its offerings in customized, large-format, very high-power laser cutting and oversize tube machines. Cutlite Penta will continue operating under its own brand with independent manufacturing, sales and service facilities. “We are committed to a true partnership with a manufacturing partner that operates successfully in a specialized market, backed by proven expertise, an established brand and customer trust,” said Tom Schneider, chief technical officer, TRUMPF Machine Tools. Cutlite, based in Prato, Italy, employs about 190 people and
specializes in custom-built laser cutting systems using high-power lasers from 30 kW to 60 kW.
