Thermal Dynamics’ updated its Ultra-Cut XT automated plasma systems to feature a modernized inverter block with state-of-the-art power switching components and new cabinet design with at-a-glance assessment of machine status. The series features four models, all rated at 100 percent duty cycle. Target applications include fabricators and steel service centers that use two torches on the same gantry and want to increase cutting speeds on steel plates up to 2 in. thick. It also lets fabricators cut stainless steel and aluminum sections up to 6.25 in. for applications in the power generation, pressure vessel and petrochemical processing industries.
