TRUMPF Inc. introduced a versatile multigripper for automated bending processes. The vacuum gripper is fitted to the BendMaster robotic arm; up to 12 grippers can be positioned in this way. Using these grippers, the robotic arm can remove a workpiece from the stack, move it efficiently within the bending cell, and then place it on a stack of finished parts. The multigripper can be set up quickly as all necessary adjustments can be made at the system level. The gripper is available in small for workpieces up to 13 lbs. and medium for workpieces up to 114 lbs.
