Kern Laser Systems’ new 650-W KT650 laser features a laser beam output position, mounting points and overall package size that matches its 250-W and 400-W laser models. A redesign of the laser resonator cavity adds less than 10 lbs. to the overall weight of the 650-W model. The new patent-pending laser produces a high-quality, round beam with low divergence from an efficient laser source that has a high wall-plug efficiency compared to similar CO₂ lasers. A peak power of 2,000 W is achievable, allowing for cutting of highly reflective metals and other thick, high-density materials.
