Miller Electric enters U.S.-Korea shipbuilding partnership

Miller Electric Mfg. LLC is participating in an industry collaboration to help U.S. shipbuilders improve weld quality, increase productivity and build a skilled welding workforce. “This partnership is about more than supplying equipment. It is about working side by side to build a stronger, faster and more resilient shipbuilding industry,” said Jessica Marhefke, vice president and general manager, Miller Electric. Announced this past July during the Korea-U.S. Shipbuilding Partnership Center opening in Washington, the collaboration focuses on supply chain resilience, technology integration, workforce training and collaborative engineering. The partnership also highlights Miller’s work with Samsung Heavy Industries to advance solutions for U.S. shipbuilders.
