Machitech has a new machine on the market, the Titanium Cut, a plasma machine capable of also drilling, tapping and machining heavy-duty steel plate. Designed for steel service centers, shipbuilders and all types of structural steel fabricators, it can drill holes up to 4 in. with its 50-hp and tap and machine plate up to 2 in. thick. The machine features the company’s NX4 CNC controller and Hypertherm’s Pronest CAD/CAM software, as well as Hypertherm’s XPR460 high-performance plasma system.
