Hypertherm Associates launched HySpeed technology for Powermax Sync plasma cutting systems. HySpeed combines optimized CAM nesting, intelligent torch motion, faster speeds and advanced gas management to reduce cut-to-cut time and increase throughput. The technology minimizes torch retract time and optimizes travel paths, enabling speeds up to 1,400 ipm on thin mild steel. HySpeed improves productivity while maintaining cut quality, especially for fabricators using nesting on rigid tables. It supports mild steel thicknesses from 26 gauge to 3/16 in. and integrates with ProNest software and Edge Connect CNC to maximize efficiency and reduce torch collisions.
