The Hobart Institute of Welding Technology (HIWT) was recognized by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) as a 2024-2025 School of Excellence, becoming one of only 19 institutions nationwide to receive the honor. The award honors ACCSC-accredited institutions that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to accreditation standards and consistently maintain high levels of student achievement. “This award demonstrates the commitment of all HIWT employees to live up to our mission as the premier welding education resource within the industry,” stated Tom Funderburg, HIWT president.
