The American Welding Society (AWS) announced the 3rd Shipbuilding and Aluminum Conference, taking place April 13-15, 2026, in New Orleans. This three-day event brings together industry leaders, engineers and professionals to explore the latest technologies, materials and practices shaping shipbuilding and aluminum welding. Kevin Roossinck (Ingalls Shipbuilding), Vincent Mangino (General Dynamics Electric Boat) and Andrew Pfaller (Miller Electric) will guide attendees through sessions that highlight the latest in shipbuilding and aluminum welding. Marcus Cridland, chief metallurgist, ABS, will keynote the shipbuilding conference track, and Bruce Albrecht, vice president of global innovation and technology, ITW, will keynote the aluminum track.
