The American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) is accepting submissions for the 2027 IDEAS Awards, recognizing design achievement
in structural steel across five categories: adaptive reuse, architecture, constructability, engineering, and sustainable design and construction. Entries are due Aug. 31, 2026. “For decades, AISC has taken pride in spotlighting the country’s most significant design accomplishments, from massive iconic landmarks to smaller projects driven by impressive innovation,” said Nima Balasubramanian, director of architecture, AISC. Winning projects will be featured in national publications, digital platforms and at NASCC: The Steel Conference. The IDEAS|next award is also available for concept-stage projects that have a client and designated site but have not yet broken ground.
