Hypertherm Associates’ Omax will put decades of advanced waterjet engineering expertise on display. Live cutting demonstrations will feature multiple machine technologies, including the new versatile Maxiem 1530X JetMachining Center. The machine features a software-controlled 5-axis cutting head that provides a cutting range from 0 to 60 degrees for beveled edges, angled sides and 3-D geometries. It has a cutting envelope of 10 ft. by 5 ft. and delivers ±0.003-in linear positional accuracy and ±0.001-in. repeatability for cutting a range of materials. A new hopper design provides advanced incoming-abrasive filtering.
