Welcome to 2021 and the year’s first edition of FAB Shop Direct. We look forward to covering all the latest technological advancements that benefit metal fabrication companies in the year to come. We start off this issue with a look into how robots (or “droids” for you Star Wars fans) assist manufacturers in everything from compensating for the skilled labor shortage to making up for losses due to tariffs.
While some welding procedures have remained largely unchanged for decades, welders continue to gain access to tools that make their jobs easier. This includes equipment for welders on the job site, which is the focus of our second feature.
